24 Hours In Toronto
And I feel like a farking Rock Star.
Lets start off with a 4:30 AM flight out of SF.
And a 12:30 Arrival in Chicago.
And after a few hours in layover, a 6PM arrival in Detroit.
Add to that a 5 hour DRIVE from DTW to a rawking GTA Bloggers party per invitation of Rannie and hosted by Joey. Was greeted with screams by Steve, Winona, and others. Caught up and giggled with Paul, Brent, and James. Sipped Ice Wine for the first time and shared it with Jeremy.

Then add a lovely night of heavy and well earned sleep at the home of Ms. Xxxtine.
A splendid Northern Chinese dimsum lunch/dinner, some shopping where I bought beautiful bitchy red shoes (pointy toes) and a surreal fashion show titled “No Kimono” with shadow dancing music, an outfit that looked like the lovechild of a homeless man’s jacket and ballerina’s tutu, and an extraordinary collection of dresses crafted from sheets of pure, crisp, white paper with japanese brush paintings delicately addorning details of flowers and vines along sleeves and skirt hems.
A late sup of Congee with Roast Duck. Hurray.
And I’ve just watched a commercial for some excercise program called “Yoga booty ballet”. Yeah. Think about that for a few seconds and try not to laugh.
Tomorrow, a pre Xmas holiday dinner with friends. I swoon.
Hmmm so for whatever reason my voicemail seems perdunkled and I can’t get into it. Get back to you on Tuesday when I get back to the US.

Just got back from the Rock & Roll Roadtrip to Coachella.
I’m pooped.
A cleanup of my pictures, some explanations, descriptions, etc. and a quest for additional music to add to my collection coming as soon as I get a breather.

I so fucking wish I’d been able to find my telephoto lense but was too much in a rush to track it down. Bummer that so many pix are fuzzy, but hey, the pix, my ringing ears, the sunburn, my memories, and my new Coachella Jacket-Poster-Teeshirt-MessangerBag-total-merch-junkie-shtuff is what I have to remember my manic music weekend by.
I nearly forgot to mention that I have a new freckle on my belly. One of several thousand new freckles that I acquired this past weekend. This special belly freckle I have named “Coachella 2004.”

It’s hard to get in a good shot when you’re shoved up against…oh… 50,000 other music fans in obscene weather.
I drank 6 bottles of water on Saturday and only peed twice. Sunday was slightly more managable by choosing to miss some bands and also missing the high points in the day’s heat wave.
After two days of that heat, I return to the bay area at a lovely temperate 79ish.
I feel like I need a sweater.
That’s fucked up, yo.

News from Coachella.
For the first time, Coachella is offering a Text Message (SMS) service to keep you updated with what is happening prior to and during the show. Text Messages will be sent directly to your text enabled phone, Blackberry, or Sidekick. Most gracious amazingment how a Monday turns right.
Generally sludgy headed from the meds and beating myself up for losing my wrist splints (Yes still going to physical therapy for the RSI. And why am I typing this now. Nag. Nag. Nag) J-man called me up re: trying to score some last minute tickets to Stereolab.

Tickets. Thai Food. And a phenomenal show.
The visuals were spectacular and this was quite possibly the most synesthetic musical experience I’ve ever had (sans …uh…vowels.) Granted, there was a heapload of secondary pot in the air. Ain’t my fault yo.

The lime on my head indicates both my displeasure and envy.
I was seriously considering spending some time photoshopping Dan with an actual limehead except a) I currently don’t have photoshop installed on this machine b) I don’t have any full face shots of Dan. Just coy sideways glances as the midwest charm is prone to c) he does not look displeased at all in any of the pictures I have from SXSW. I think it’s because he’s drunk in all my pix. Almost true.

Back Again
I’m back and *wooo* do *I have stories to tell and pictures to put up.
But first a few thoughts.
* My room currently looks like a tornado has wipped through it.
Souvenier match books, CD’s, Business cards, Chargers, Electrnoic miscellani, Media Storage, Panties & Brassieres. Ya know… the usual.
* Having flipped between using two different digital cams this past week, it’ll take me a bit to resort and order. Plus having been sequentially and serially drunk/hungover and snarky through the week, I may have some little blotches in my memory.
* I’m a kissing fool. I have proof. This will come shortly.
* Charm, good conversation and being a nice human being who listens to folks, cares, and connects ideas, concepts, and passions. Fuck. *I* am social networking application. More thoughts on this coming shortly.
* The rumors are indeed true. I did nearly get into a bar brawl with the founder of Friendster. I put him into a headlock and tried to flip him.
