Ha! Thanks for the recipes, MJ. Gonna totally make the pumpkin curry soup for the folks this time around. I'll be forwarding your pregger lady posts to my sis. Something for you two to share in common. XD

Regarding color changes, yep, it's common. I got to a point where I was like, "wth?? Humans don't have parts that color! Eggplants do!" I figured it was some high contrast thing to help the starving baby aim for the bullseye, but AFTER birth and now breastfeeding, things have returned to normal. The sensitivity was bad too. So bad, the spray from the showerhead was painful. Thankfully, that passed as well, and before the third trimester. Yes, you will find hair growing in places you never had it before. With both my pregnancies, I ended up with junior-high sideburns, just enough hair to be noticeable close-up but hidden under my proper hair.

Ah, there's so much fun stuff about pregnancy that books and people often fail to mention. "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" is referred to around here as "Horrible Things That Can Go Wrong Week by Week." Seriously. Skip it unless you want to be paranoid about everything. "What to Expect When You're Expecting" was read during my first, didn't find it again for the second. Instead I tortured myself with "Week by Week." The most helpful book I read was "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy." It was the most practical and relevant and reassuring book I read. I was able to say, "Oh, I'm not the only pregnant woman who's wondered about that!"

Since you didn't mention it, are you over the evening sickness or found a way to control it?

Thanks for sharing. I think.

And your Thanksgiving recipes are fucking awesome. I'm so making the noodles and kalbi (I'm not a big fan of turkey anyway, so I don't really care).

I'm still planning on coming up to Seattle, probably in January, so hopefully I'll get to see you when I'm up there.

We all miss you down in SF too.
