Top 5 Reasons I will *Not* be watching the Davinci Code

1. I never read the book.

2. Have you seen Tom Hank’s haircut?

3. I’ve been told that the chick should have been Julia Delpy

4. This film has apparently made Catholics look even stupider than possible.  And yes, I concede I’m a bad Catholic.  But by saying that catholics are stupid this just makes me seem like a bad stupid.  And that just ain’t right.

5. Because frankly, 1-4 should be more than suffiicient and if it isn’t, then we shouldn’t be spending time in the theatre but throwing $10/person towards the non profit of our choice towards the support of endangered species, under represented peoples, support for legitimate scientific and social research issues, and whatnot.  I mean seriously.  I think that’s a better idea than my previously unpublished theory of recruiting a corp of underage illegal immigrant asian hotties and gorgeous gay men to bring down the right wing faction of the government through exploitation and blackmail.

*shrug*

Or that’s just me and I just *hate* pop culture literature don’t I.

1) It’s actually a poorly written book that was intended to become a movie.
2) Forget the haircut, people have been saying that the character should’ve been played by a younger actor. Regardless … it was a poorly written book that was intended to be made into a film.
3) Amelie may just be the saving grace of the film … her and Alfred Molina and Sir Ian McKellan. Which seems so beneath the calibre of actors since the book is so poorly written intended for Hollywood types who have the attention span of a fish.
4) As if the marketing behind the PASSION of CHRIST didn’t exploit that already. - I still haven’t seen movie even when the DVD was brought into my house. And I’m a not-so-bad Catholic. Besides, it’s a poorly written novel that was intended for the cinema.
5) It’ll appear in Chinatown on DVD soon anyways.
