MinJungKim.com Braindump v 6.0 Gah. I’m still doing this?

A hodge podge of everything.

I’ve got lots on my mind these days.
And the fact that I’m limited about typing muchly about it is extraordinarily frustrating.

I feel like my head will explode with trying to absorb, process, digest, resolve, and close off variou sthings in my head without being able to get them out digitally. When did I get so reliant on blogging and computers and typing things out? When did I become so complacent about thinking things through, one by one, and feeling comfortable and satisfied with my conclusions without having them in some sort of digital form that could be reviewed, looked over, self edited, and re-read to some degree to understand my own patterns in meta?

I’ve been on painkillers and physical therapy for 5 weeks now.
There is an end in sight. For this I’m glad. Last week my wrists spazzed out again and I was limited to typing 2-4 hours a day. So no gratuitous blogging/chatting for yours trully. I’m barely able to manage all my work tasks with that type of limitation. I’m back up to typing up to 4 hours a day.

This post has actually been written in 3 pieces.

Photography and blogging:

Such a nice way to continue to share the joys and little thrills of my day without having to divulge too much of my brain or strain too much of my wrists. I’m hoping that with some of my pix that I have posted and continue to post, that you’ll get a guage for what’s in my head, what catches my eye, what I’m doing, and what response to such things I might have. Posting *somthing* is like putting a ticker note on that day. Something to remind myself of where I was, what I was thinking, and what was important to me that day.

Houseguests
Mi Casa has recently turned into a half way house for bloggers. I’m kidding. But my very good friend Christine is in town and we’ve been snuggling up in bed with my puca doll and dorking out.

We’re also on a mission. To put some meat on this girl. And I dont’ mean that in a meat porn type of way. We’re working on putting something like 10 lbs on the girl. I am, as her coach, putting on the sympathy weight. Since Thursday when she got in we’ve eaten various cow parts in soup, hearty breakfasts every morning, crabs so huge that they should be eating us instead, and noodles at near midnight.

We’ve also been to a barbque and seen a Cherry Blossom Pageant. Seriously.
It’s really fun going into the beauty pageant while smelling like roast cow.
I am every so delicate and precious like cherry blossom. Don’t clown me on that mutherfucker.

2 more house guests coming in the next few weeks. Jayzus.

Robots
The other night Christine and I were at the Robot Stories reception party co-hosted by a few of my favorite groups: Hyphen Magazine, Naata, and Manja.

I got to catch up with Greg Pak who called me out as Queen of the Internet. (Pshaw, I’d like to believe I’m really more of a Duchess or sumpin). We’d met several years ago when I’d a) driven his ass from the AA Film festival to the airport, and b) done some event coverage/reviews for the Asian American Film site.

What’s cool about Greg Pak? Besides like…everything? (Ya know, being talented and congenial, friendly and sincere, fucking brilliant, hilarious, and ya know…pretty cute in that grizzly adams kinda way with a beard and all….and by the way, how fricking impressive *is* it that a Korean guy can even fricking grow a beard).

He get’s blogging and he does it too.

Biggest regret of that evening? Not having a chance to ask the total Hottie Ms. Tamilyn Tomita if she can actually dance the Robot. Also if she has ever gotten over kissing Ralph Macchio.

Some pix of the Robot Stories Party.
