Well… power is a good thing…

From Austin,

PowerGen is a large UK company that sells electricity… PowerGen has
formed an Italian division.

They went for the obvious company name and registered the domain for it
in the newly formed Italian company name.

No, this isn’t a joke they really have done this ……

It’s rumored that the marketing director is now seeking an alternative

Today’s Theme Song

Flaming Lips – Do You Realize

Do You Realize – that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize – we’re floating in space -
Do You Realize – that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize – that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes – let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It’s hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun don’-go down
It’s just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do You Realize – Oh – Oh – Oh
Do You Realize – that everyone you know
Someday will die -

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes – let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It’s hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun don’-go down
It’s just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do You Realize – that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize

Convo with the Kissing Bandit

Moi:So what was the kiss of death this time.
KB: He said I was deep.
Moi: And … how’s that bad?
KB: He fucking sounded ASTONISHED when he said it?
Moi: What?
KB: Like “OH MY GAWD, YOU’RE A HOT PIECE OF ASS *AND* YOU LIKE DISCUSSING DYSTOPIAN SOCIAL CONSTRUCTS BASED ON LIMITATIONS IN COMMUNICATIONS MEDIUMS?”
Moi: Oh… I see.
KB: And really, he totally missed my argument to Kierkegard and the general relativity of “truth” based on mob mentality.
Moi: The fucker.
KB: Exactly my point. Especially as related to Giligan’s Island.
Moi: Like duh.

Holy Backache

The last few days I’ve had back issues again.
With my stress levels escalating, not to mention the *two* car accidents I’ve been in this year, one shouldn’t be totally surprised. I was when my back spazzed out on me monday.

With a quick visit to my chiropractor this morning, I got a quick lesson in chakras and their physical manifestations.

I got some stuff to work out.

Some stuff I found on the subject:

And who says online shopping is impersonal…

For their shipment confirmation email, alone, I will shop CD Baby Again and again and again.

******

=== =========== ===== =====
Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make
sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that
money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved ‘Bon Voyage!’ to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Tuesday, December 16th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as “Customer of the Year”. We’re all
exhausted but can’t wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you once again,

XFN – No, it doesn’t involve hoochies and excons, clothslines and piledrivers or a football.

Check it out.

XFN – XHTML Friends Network

I’ve had some hilarious conversations with Tantek about this tool’s development.

Glad to see it’s now out.

Next is finding some time to play with it and implement it here.

Sometimes you just can’t be who you want to be for the people that you love.
And most times, that will be ok.
In the remaining times, it may be necessary to recognize/believe that you just weren’t loved right in the first place.

Otherwise, without asking more or less, it’s ok to just say yes, be, and love.

Ya know what’s nice?

Having a saucy little Aussie come and visit with the roommate “With an H Biyatch” and having her little fingers rub down my sore and tight neck and shoulders. Tough, pinchy, but oh so knowledgeable and good.
She pinched my elbows for a bit and I giggled. It was ouchy, but I giggled. And afterwards, felt quite a bit better.

Then they demonstrated yoga positions on the kitchen floor. Interesting names. King of Fishes. Eagle. Scorpion. Half Moon. Half Moon Cycles. Etc etc.

I’m impressed. I haven’t been able to touch my toes since 1994 or so. And that was purely by accident. I said it last night, and I’ll repeat it here. For the most part, I just don’t bend that way unless an orgasm is involved.

Hmmm…
Food for thought.

Today’s Thunk 11.10.03

So I’ve been stressed and overworked of late.
And playing too many hours of ssx tricky to relieve the tension.
Pure escapism. Not someting that I don’t need these days, certainly.

At work, noticing my shoulders and arms tight and knotted, I clenched and released them to alleviate some of the stress.

At that point, while in my cube, my bra decided to unhook.

The universe is telling me something.
What, I’m not sure.
But *something*.

*Something* really really really important.
Important enough to unhook a bra. While I’m sitting at a division office.
In a cube surrounded by folks who are far more important, higher titled, and less likely to find themselves in situations of utter ridiculousness. Did I tell you I just got a promotion and had to start acting adultlike recently? So far, no such adultlike activity. I just started wearing more sensible shoes, really.

This moment of utterly embarrassing confession brought to you by the letter P.

Convo with the Kissing Bandit 12.7.03

Moi: So what’s the latest scandal?
Kb: Girl, you don’t even wanna know.
Moi: Spill it.
Kb: *whisper whisper whisper*
Moi: Get the FUCK OUT!
Kb: No seriously.
Moi: And so then what?
Kb: Nothing. I’m just going to keep moisturizing my hands in the meantime.
Moi: Oh. My. Gawd.
Kb: Yup.
Moi: Don’t forget to trim them fingernails too.

Life at its fullest.

So much going on in my head that it’s bound to spill out.
Should you choose to partake of the effluvium, I guess I don’t mind.

Some fantastic pix from last night’s locus event care of our most favorite papparazi J. Jao yon at Mocha Monkey. I have no comments really, re: this pix.

Tis I and the usual mischief I find myself in.

M. asked me later, who’s idea the “Find the Locus Membership Check” mischief was. I replied no comment. She asked ‘Min Jung, are you single?” and I replied “Oh gawd, it shows huh? Thanks. Go ahead and rub it in. (like lucille ball) Waaaahhhh.”

Ah well.

Tonight I had an amazing time hanging out with Ernie, Mike, & Jason at the Yahoo Year End Party.

Amazing show with the Flaming Lips tonight.
We were right up in front, a little left of center. Toe to the stage. A delight. Pure and simple.

Photo gallery here:
Some (extraordinarily poor quality) bootleg music files/movie files here, here, here, here, and here

Rawk.
A smile on my face and confetti in my (barely existant) cleavage.
Other spilling thoughts that I’ll keep to myself tonight.

Hah

Why I don’t have polls on my website.

And why I rarely mention dating on this site anymore.
