Sanity!

Something to tell my parents!

The study also found that women take longer to recover after a break-up than men.

In fact, they may be best to avoid men altogether.
The researchers found that women can survive quite well without a relationship.

Those who had never been in a relationship were much less likely to report having a mental health problem than those who had moved in with a man or got married.

The logic’s flawed though. Since there’s probably no serious statistical analysis and there are thousands (or millions) of variables, I’d say that women who would make the choice to cohabitate are more likely to have mental illness, but not as a result of that choice. Women interested in permanent commitment are more sane. Probably so. It says the reverse for men at the beginning of the article, which also jives. I doubt either are statistically significant in and of themselves, though. If you throw in religious upbringing and family pressure, then I would guess it would correlate better. Happy Holidays!
