True Shmoo Story
One boy, one girl, sitting together drinking hot toddies*. Her symptoms involve a cough and heavy snot production. His symptoms involve body ache and migraines. They are shmoo.
She coughs. Fiercely. Wracking her whole body in convulsions.
She looks at him, with a desperate plea in her eyes: “*(Cough Cough) Hit me.”
He responds: “Wha?”
She speaks again, leaning forward so that he can fully understand her intent: “Hit my back. Hard. It’ll loosen up the phlegm.”
His eyes grow large, tortured by the request and this crux of a decision. “You’re crazy.”
She responds with a whimper: “Please, I beg you. Hit my back. Hard.”
He shakes his head violently in spite of his pain, “No way. Nutcase”
She sighs, coughs again, and turns her back to him, pouting from the shoulders to a slouch. “You suck. That’s what I get for dating someone non-Korean. Any Korean guy would have totally hit me.”
He responds, “You are *soo* wrong, you know that, right?”
* A hot toddie. Hot Earl Grey Tea, Whiskey, Honey (or sugar) and Lemon Juice.
