I’m exhausted.
Last night I hosted Ernie’s bday dinner party.
Amazing amounts of food.
Healthy amounts of snarking.
Nominal amounts of miscellaneous smooching. And hula hoops.
Yes, Hula Hoops.

SunnyDay Mix #1.
I received an email today from an old friend of mine from college days. It seems that he’s stumbled upon this site and had a good laugh (mostly at my expense, I’m sure). Funny how people come back around in your life these days, isn’t it?
What do I remember of this dude, affectionally referred to as either T2 or Cha-man?
Amazing abs. A heart as huge as a mountain. The ability to say “Will you sleep with me” in over 40 languages.
Talented, wouldn’t you say?
And get this? Here’s his latest project.
Looks like they’re a hungry little company that’s going to woop some big ones. Way to go Cha-man. Way to go.
*********
The above iterated experience in old acquaintance reunions is far better than the one I had a few weekends ago with another peep. Running into a particular fellow that I’d kissed far far far too long ago at a party over 7 years back and hadn’t seen since. Upon this particularly odd reunion at a hipster party, he asked me “Wait…did we sleep together?”. Smooth. Obviously not, otherwise the mo-fo *would* remember. Hmph. Indeed.
No matter how cute you are, acting like a 14 year old chick who’s overanalyzing everything doesn’t make you beloved.
It makes you annoying.
Please stop. Now.
There is very little I can think straight about enough to say other than…
Damn it…would the world please stop spinning for a moment so that I can keep my head on straight?
Re: The rain mixes…thanks for all the suggestions!
Sunny Day Tunes: coming soon.

Rain Mix #1
Talking with a co-worker today whom I frequently refer to as “Home Skillet” (Mind you, she’s a white chick)
I was at a training session the other day regarding “Working Within The Law” for my current company.Twas beyond entertaining and educational and extremely enlightening beyond measure.
Did you know that the only law in existence to properly define discrimination is the ADA? American Disabilities Act?Or that it wasn’t really until 1964 that civil rights discrimination laws were put in place?
Anyway, in usual snarkdome, we were chatting regarding the nuances between discrimination, minorities, disadvantaged groups, and the disabled.
Home Skillet exclaimed “Hey man! You are oppressing me!”
Moi: “What?!”
Home Skillet: “Calling me Home Skillet. That’s discriminatory!”
Moi: “Right. I’m not discriminating against you, I’m making fun of home cookware.”
Home Skillet: “You’re discriminating against me because I’m half Canadian.”
Moi: “Dude, Lady… Being Canadian doesn’t make you a minority… it might make you disabled, but definitely not a minority.”
Home Skillet: “You Suck.”
Moi: “Yeah… well thanks for Bif Naked in the meantime. She kicks ass and redeems you.”
This and discussions with NinjaBoy about why Canada gets little in terms of props in America. That and talking with a certain Mr. Yan about the fact that Canada is positively proud of curling; the only sport for which middle aged, overweight, alcoholic folks can hope for some sort of Olympic standing.
Um… that and the fact that the whole country is 30% off to Americans.
I’m kidding though, really. I will be in Toronto later in the month anyway. Are you around there? Shall I coordinate a meetup of bloggers/xangans? Let me know what you think. In town there 11/29-12/01
I forgot to mention.
#1. I adore waking up to the sound of rain.
#2. Yes, Favorite Mark is making me smile.
Do be kind enough to wish him many happy birthdays from me, his blog-silly fiancee.
Fiancee?! you ask?
Well, whilst in Tx I told Mark quite candidly…”Hey…ask me to marry you. I haven’t been proposed to this year…and it’s weird” Does that count? Erg..probably not…but it’s still fun to say that I went to TX last month and got a lovely singing cowboy to propose.
Lets just say that shooting oneself in the thigh with a needle full of meds twice a day is about as fun as it sounds.
In otherwords, not one damn bit.
