That which does not kill us makes us stronger. I’m mute these days. And when not mute, all scratchy voiced, hoarse, and squeaky. This is not something I’m used to at all and the loquacious side of me feels stilted. Frankly, it’s more than annoying and all I can say is that I better get well soon.
Over 4 days since my last cigarette. Being sick has made me quit cold turkey at least.
Wonderful news.
I had heard before that my poems were accepted for publication in the OKAY anthology. And it’s actually coming out in print.
This next month.
Weeee!
And unexpected coincidence, my Unnee Cecilia is also a featured artist in this project. She & Tim are the brilliant maniacs that I always stay with in LA.
Getting married this fall too!
Dear Artists,
We are proud to announce we will soon be going to print. Thanks for patiently waiting. We have planned a book opening party at Saint Ex Wine Bar in Itaewon, Seoul, in mid-July. We hope to be able to have an exhibition of the works featured in the book in early 2002.
The Okay Book was developed in the fall of 1999 to celebrate the new millennium and to encourage and open a platform for those Koreans abroad to show their work and advance their careers. Upon seeing a “dictionnaire de la peinture moderne,” Bordas Edition and similar art books published in English, “The Art Book,” we asked ourselves why not create one based on the history of the Korean Art Diaspora?
The book is divided in 5 sections: Individual Artists / Group / Media / Event / Anthology
Pages: about 200 pages
Format: 15 cm x 15 cm /
Each individual artist have 4 pages (2 text - 2 pictures)
Each group/Media/Event/Anthology have 2 pages (1 text - 1 picture)
