Viva Las Vegas!
So Connie calls me on Tuesday to tell me that she won’t be able to meet up in LA since she & her new husband will be in Vegas.
In about 5 minutes she convinces me to drive down to meet her there.
Haphazard packing & I’m on the road.
8.5 hours laters I’m there. (That’s spontaneous driving trip #3 - #1 & #2 being on Christmas & on Fat Tuesday)
Off to eat buffet, walk the strip, play the slots, & catch up with Connie & Raphael.
What a delight it is to have good friends in the city of sin.
We hit the Bellagio, Venetian, Mandolay, Ceasars, Luxor, Flamingo, MGM Grand, & New York New York
My feet *hurt* like you wouldn’t believe but it was worth it to spend time with these two muckalucks.
Anyways, here’s a few snaps from my trip. I drove back & got in yesterday mornign around 6AM.
*Yawn*

PS: It’s amazing how prayer (& red bull) can keep you up & alert for driving 11 hours. Thank God. No, really.
I think that my frequency & depth of prayer of late has kept me surprisingly calm inspite of the latest events in my life.
During my long drive back, I even said a prayer of forgiveness to those whom I’d felt wronged by recently, and prayers of healing for other old wounds that have been under the skin for a while. Probably one of the best prayer sessions I’ve had in a while, and that’s after leaving las vegas. Odd huh?
