Lots & Lots & Lots & Lots

I perform better without the microscope on me, thank you very much.
Work has been productive and a little bit less hmmm discouraging of late.
I’m glad. There isn’t much more a gal could ask for other than some recognition, encouragement, and involvement, not to mention ownership. Shit will hit the fans again come Monday, I’ m sure.

*Write, write like the wind*
So Monte swung by tonight to borrow some of my writer’s mags & freelance books that I picked up recently. He shared his fiction writer’s market with me as well. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one willing to take this crazy risk. *Hi Monte*. Don’t forget to smile, ok?

Mostly a dinner meal of comfort food leftovers, soup & shtuff and instead of venturing out into the rain, back over the bridge, & fighting the elements for parking to go see a unconfirmed thrash metal band play at the paradise lounge, we vedged here at the house and the boys played their games as they tend to do.

Yup, odd livings.
I attempted to find some of the odd items from the latest SurvivorBlog2 immunity challenge for my own edifications.
Drats, I apparently deleted the porn pictures of Gerard.
Drats, I can’t appear to find a picture of Deer attacking humans.
Drats, who the frick cares about those damn “A-List” people from blogger. Damn them.
*My* little ego boost would probably come from being added to the links of some of the more irreverent & hip, counter culture, or truly Cynical comedic diaries & journals out there.
But alas, I’m neither gay nor tremendously hip, nor can I offer really nifty tips on php programming or UI design & such. Drats. Drats. Drats.

Well, at least 3 Nasty A$$holes love me.
Now if only Cyn would title me something nifty, beyond mjh. Like.. I’d like to be MJH, the royal poet.
Or the lovely naked ballerina. Or something. I dunno. Just a thought.

Synchronicity
There’s this fellow, I’ve never met him. I have no idea what he looks like and in spite of the fact that we’ve spent a few hours on the phone, it wasn’t until today I discovered he’s got a shaved head. I’m wondering if it’s Shaolin style shorn or more of the mon chi chi grown out of the shaved head variety.
We talk & email & im once in a while. Oddly we’re in synch. Oh, it’s not like one of those odd romantic things or whatever. Paleeze, we all know that kind of tripe doesn’t happen to me.
We’re just in sync. Today he wrote me saying that in another time or place we must have owned a diner or something together. I responded saying, no, I bet we were neighbors and sometimes we leaned against the same wall, on opposite sides. Yeah… Exactly.

Mothers, Prayers, Memories
Got an email today from Hae Jung. She’s the mother of Oliver, my wonderful little godson.
You know Oliver, I’ve mentioned him before. His neck is still MIA but that’s ok, I like him fat.
She let me know today that she could use some prayers. With ears unused to listening to her voice, both tremulous and composed, she let me know her latest news.

Her mother has breast cancer again.
After 5 years it’s returned from its remission and Hae Jung, Oliver, and her husband Matt are heading to Korea this upcoming Wednesday. Listening to her talk, trying to offer words of comfort, of intentions of prayer, etc, I couldn’t help but be slightly overwhelmed by memories of my own mother and how she had fought breast cancer, won a battle, had break for several years, and then eventually conceded to returning to God, leaving me half orphaned.

So, of course, my prayers are with them tonight.

Min Jung
