Disillusionment with the dotcommunista.

I’d go to DX parties.
Dotcom Launch Parties
Mixers
etc.
The air was intoxicating with optimism.
Today, it stinks of insecurity & desperation.
Even if the beer & cosmos are $2,
a Pink Slip party feels… *odd*.
Excessively crowded, & packed into a place that I only recall as a Korean club where I once shook my wild thang. Now it’s … filled with white people. All smelling.of conflict & eager tension.
Not quite hope.. but of tension. All hungry, and sweating behind their masks.
A PinkSlip party, in case I failed to mention it, is a happy hour/recruiting event. Yeah.. it doesn’t really sound like it makes sense to me either.
Thank goodness I still have a job.
