Work…

12/11/00
Work —Oh Yeah, that.

My Hair is turning Green. And it’s currently about 5 shades of blue and a couple of streaks of white/silver in it. Saturday, Felita said I looked very Chanaka. Someone pointed out to me the other day that I looked like a slightly disheveled pomeranian. Absofricking brilliant. Hee hee hee. I’m reminded of those days in college when I used to dye my hair with cherry koolaid. It really worked.. but my scalp would be bright red for about 4 days… I just have to make time to hit a funky beauty supply store, pick up my dry cleaning, and finish my christmas shopping.

I guess yesterday was kind of a lame update. Frankly I was pooped. What’d I do?

Friday: Mass for the Immaculate Conception of Mary, Dinner with the church group, and then come home to work on the website… only to be invited by the housemate Jon to drink wine with him and his cohorts. The 4 of us polished off 5 bottles. Grief… I barely remember making kimchi vegetable pancake type things for them.

Saturday: What time is it? 1:00. Shit. I was supposed to be down in Milpitas at 11 for dimsum with former co-workers. Put a definnite crank my schedule. Afterwards, I vedged at home, recovered from my hangover, and had RA come over so that we could go meet up with peeps for dinner and go dancing. Well, miscommunication & mishaps led to missing the rest of the folks we were supposed to have dinner with which wound us up at AsiaSF eearly for dinner and the show… which included seeing Barry Bonds grab the ass of a couple transvestites. Dancing, drinking, getting picked up on, throwing em back and coming home.

Sunday: Chicago style pizza, an attempt to go to church that got foiled - drats, going down to Cupertino for Felita & Dave’s extravagant holiday shindig and having to leave the outstanding risotto and shrimp, and oysters, and pate, and salmon, and crepes, etc…catered from Lulus (I did say it was lavish right?) to come back up to the berkeley area for bible study. It was an outstanding class and though I regretted leaving the food and company of good friends at Felita’s shin dig, I was painfully underdressed (on purpose otherwise I know I wouldn’t have left) and woman is not fed by bread (even with smoked salmon in a lemon aioli on topo) alone but by His every word.

“Hey Min Jung, why you leaving so early.. the party’s just begun”
“Yeah… is it some dude.. some hot date?”
“Some secret rendezvous or something?”
“Um yeah… he’s pretty cool, his name is Hey Zooos”
“Oh, um. Ok…. better get going. Good for you.”

I hope there is foi gras in heaven. And Tiramisu. And Gelato. And Kimchi Jjigeh… And Nutella. Lots of Nutella.
Me and the other peeps at the office wiped through a jar and a half of that stuff already. Just on a few days of snacking. Hmmmm Nutella….

JG, best pal, is the shmoopiest. I should be able to expect something in the mail she teases. I write her back “Are you the one that got me Throne of Blood?” (From my wishlist *cough cough*) She responds “Why would I buy you Chair of Ick?” Hmmm so the zen princess didn’t get it for me. Something more serene and peaceful so she tells me. There is still a mystery affoot…

Whoever you are… WOW!….Thank you so very dearly dearly dearly. I’m shocked silly. Two items on my wish list are currently en route to me and I don’;t know who to thank. As Cyn would say, I think I’m having a religious experience (even without foi gras).

These are my two favorite men in the whole world.
Easy to see why huh? The Xmas shopping for these peeps are done atleast.
Whenever my dad nags me about my singleness, I tell him it’s his fault.
He answers “Why you say that?”

“Easy daddy, since you and Michael were always so good to me, no ordinary guy comes even close. So if I’m picky, it’s all your darn fault.
Daddy chuckles” Yah, you’re right… that’s why I’m the Daddy!”
